TT #82
Sorry I've been so absent lately--I promise I'll be catching up in the next week or so.
The Thirteen Best Books I Read in 2007
in alphabetical order
Note: click on the cover to see the review; on the title to purchase the book; and on the author's name to go to their website.
This was harder to do than I'd expected. The 5+ star books were easy enough--there were only four of them. But I read a lot of great books last year: 72 that I gave 5 stars to. So, these, in my current mood at least, are the best of the best. Next week I might have different answers.

Ooooo those are some good titles. Okay, I've been eyeing that Crusie/Mayer book. If you liked it, I'll have to consider buying it.
And I've seen you mention Jim Butcher before.
I love these kinds of lists. Thanks, Darla.

Gee thanks a lot, as if I don't have enough books sitting around waiting to be read. LOL! The only one that was already on the list was "Anansi Boys". Sigh, so many books, so little time. Happy TT!
#2 is a diffinate on my TBR list. Several of the others looked interesting. I'll have to check them out.
Happy TT

I've SO got to catch up on my reading... I only have the Dresden Files series on Mt. TBR...
Too many books, ya know? Too many good choices out there (so why are they so hard to find?).

I'm going to write the list down. I could really use a good book. I've struggled reading since I've been writing so much. I end up editing other people's work - which doesn't work.
Happy TT!
Happy TT!
I havent read any of those. I will have to check them out:) Happy TT and thanks for stopping by. Its always great to see you.
All of them look fascinating, but the ones that intrigue me the most are the Mil Millington one and 'Captain's Fury'.
You've already know I enjoy Jennifer Crusie's (and Bob Mayer) Agnes and the Hitman. And I agree with you highly about Ice Blue...I think reader should give the book a chance :)
You also know that I have not yet try all of Laura Kinsale's books. But I'm getting there. I want to try Robin's Guardian of Honor but I wish it was printed in paperback instead of the hardcover. My library don't have a copy. I'm suppose to request it but when I try, it weren't allowed new request until Janurary 2008...hmmm now that it is 2008...I shall go see if I can request it again...*grin*....
Happy TTs Darla! Always enjoy your TTs every weeks!

Anansi Boys was the first book by Gaiman I'd ever read. So far it's my favorite with Good Omens coming in a close second.
I haven't read any of these! But, I would like to read the murder/mystery one. Those types of books are my favorite.

Can you believe I haven't read any of them except Anne Stuart?! LOL. I have been wanting to read Jim Butcher's series, but just couldn't find the first book to the series! Guess I have to buy online... Great TT list, Darla!
Thanks for coming by Darla. And thanks for a booklist. Once I'm done with my deadline I'm getting back to nothing but reading for a month before I surrender to new deadlines. (Well, I still want a thousand words a day, but that's different. LOL)

Thanks for stopping by my snarky list of comments I fantasize about hurling at the underlings.
I am planning on the Gaiman book and haven't gotten around to it yet.
Happy TT!

I haven't read any of your top 13! I've been meaning to try Dunnett for a while, and more Gaiman though. Hope you have another year of good reads in 2008. :)
I have not read any in your list but I would love to read at least one. Thanks for the suggestions and the links.
Jennifer, I always like reading other people's best-books-of-the-year lists, too, so that's why I decided to post mine this year. And yeah, it's fairly obvious that I'm a Butcher fangirl. :)
Ellen, it took me a while of listening to friends rave about Dunnett before I finally gave in and tried her books--but I absolutely love them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Dragonheart & Merlin: I agree about Gaiman. My daughter's a huge fan, and my older son is on the verge: he just started American Gods yesterday.
Robin: only 4 of these books came out in 2007, and one comes out in 2008. The rest are older, so if you're interested, they should be easier to find.
Julia: Guardian of Honor is in trade paperback, not hardcover. Not sure if that will make it easier or harder for you, though. :)
Doug, yes, you should read it. It's spiders! I'm surprised you didn't grab it as soon as it came out! :)

Anasasi Boys has piqued my curiousity. I masy have to get it for 2008.
Thanks for visiting my T13 yesterday; 13 Quips Heard During Colonoscopies. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
