Friday Flashback

from April 2002:

Three Fates by Nora Roberts. Romantic suspense.

Three Fates was, I think, one of Nora's best romantic suspense novels so far. I loved the way all the characters were tied together through their families' histories.

Tia is one of my favorite of Nora's heroines. She has a lot to overcome, but not only does she overcome it, she uses it! Just wonderful. Malachi treated her exactly right---he reminded me of Farley in Runaway Bay.

And those e-mails between Jack & his father.... They made me LOL! I read them aloud to Carl and said we needed to remember that for when the kids are out of the house. I know I'd e-mail my mom more if she were entertaining like that.

I was waiting for all hell to break loose when the girls discovered those cameras, & was mildly disappointed when they didn't. When I thought about it later, though, I thought maybe it was just a little too predictable. Or maybe Nora intended to do something about it, but didn't because the book was getting too long?? Eh. speculation.

Three Fates is one of my Nora's favorite. I love how she ties the characters togther too. And Nora always great with interaction her characters with each other :)

Hmmm maybe I should re-read Three Fates again...lol

I'm pretty sure I've re-read it once, but that was before 2005, so it's been a while for me, too. Hey, go vote for it on the book discussion poll: http://www.writerspace.com/somethingaboutnora/discussionpoll.html, and give us both an excuse to re-read it!

*chuckle* are you trying to get me to re-read for our book discussion LOL

I just voted and notice that Three Fates has 7 votes in...wow.

And you know what, we need to get the group to votes for Nora's books :)

Cool. That probably means we'll be re-reading it soon. Feel free to remind people if you like. :-)

Well, since I know you don't have a lot of reading time lately, I'm not trying to get you to re-read. But on the other hand, maybe re-reading a book you know you like will jump-start your reading again.

Hmm...maybe Nora's older books might help me jump-start my reading again... :)
