Captain's Fury

*****+ Captain's Fury by Jim Butcher. Fantasy. Re-read.

This was a morning read-aloud with Camden. He loved it, of course. My actual review is here. The worst part about reading these aloud with Camden is keeping my mouth shut about what's going to happen next.

This isn't connected to the Harry Dresden book, is it? And I'm guessing there no romance in Captain's Fury either?

Should be reading the actual review link you provided first before asking questions..but went ahead and ask anyway *duck and hide* *LOL*

Nope, not connected to Harry Dresden. These take place in a different world.

There are actually three romantic stories in the series, but they're not remotely the focus of the books.

But what romantic scenes there are in this series are remarkably emotional for the genre, especially for books written by men. Which sounds sexist. Sorry. :)

What would also appeal to romance readers about this series is the strong, well-rounded female characters. Women are both heroes and villains, without resorting to cliched stereotypes.
