*** Turns out this isn't the BBC list. In 2003, the BBC asked people what their favorite books were, and here's the list of 100. They didn't make any predictions about how many books people would have read. Obviously one of those things that circulate because people want to believe it.

But since I enjoy lists, here's the BBC's favorites list. And I'll do the same as with the fake list--put an X by the ones I've read.
