Friday Flashback

From August 2002:

The Perfect Victim by Linda Castillo. Romantic suspense.

I loved The Perfect Victim.

I was under the impression that a sexual relationship wasn't possible for Jack---I rememer Randall chastising Addison for mildly flirting with him, saying it would remind him of things he can't have.

I thought Randall's brother would be in trouble. I tried really hard not to get too attached to him because I was afraid he'd be killed. Very glad he'll recover.

I don't know if it's a male vs. female thing or not, but I was a little surprised that Tate didn't see himself in Addison & decide to try to groom her as his successor or something. I do think this way is more in keeping with his character, though. He was very selfish.

The ending was more of his selfishness, too, I think. He couldn't face the ruin of all his plans.
