I finally got to this one! You're right, Janice! It's definitely a delight. Alden was a rake, but so charming, you couldn't help liking him. I loved their chess games, & their forfeits. Nice twists & turns, & I liked the way they got revenge on the bad guy.

Thanks for the history tidbits, Janice! It was nice to be able to place the story in history.

I definitely recommend this one.
