Monday Morning Meme
OKAY HERE WE GO AGAIN. Welcome to the June 2008 edition (that's what it said in the email I got) of getting to know your friends.

1. What time did you get up this morning? 6 am
2. Diamonds or pearls? Both
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Babylon A.D. Vin Diesel was the only good thing about it.
4. What is your favorite sport to watch? Olympic gymnastics or figure skating
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? alternate between oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt
6. What is your middle name? Kaye
7. What food do you dislike? doughnuts. grease & sugar. Yuck.
8. What is your favorite CD at the moment? The Very Best of 10CC. very cool, very funny.
9. What kind of car do you drive? Black Mercedes C300. Or Moby III.
10. Favorite sandwich? well, I made a really delicious one for lunch a couple of days after getting the idea from a blog: grilled tuna & cheese (she used ham, but I like tuna better). Mix the tuna with mayo, dill relish, celery, and onions. Make a sandwich on good bread (I used a nice 7-grain), with sharp cheddar. Butter the outside and sprinkle with Parmesan. Grill on the George Foreman grill. Even Carl & Camden were impressed. Makes the bread nice & crunchy.
11. What characteristic do you despise? hypocrisy
12. Favorite item of clothing? cute shoes
13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? somewhere warm, with a beach
14. Are you an organized person? I try, but it's a losing battle.
15 Where would you retire to? San Antonio
16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? can't think of one--it's always getting blurred in my mind with Christmas.
17. What are you going to do when you finish this? catch up on some more email
18. Furthest place you are sending this? well, they do call it the world-wide web...

23. Pets? Diva--black cocker spaniel, Carl has some assorted fish, and Camden has a water turtle that shares its aquarium with a handful of neons.
24. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share with us? I'm slowly getting the house put together. The nieces will be coming for Halloween, so I have a deadline.
25. What did you want to be when you were little? A music teacher.
26. How are you today? Not bad.
27. What is your favorite flower? lilacs
28. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to? October 1: Camden's birthday
29. What are you listening to right now? I've got the CD player shuffling through all the jazz CDs, but I can barely hear it because the chill hub for the laptop is so loud. :(
30. What was the last thing you ate? veggie burger
32. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? midnight blue. always my favorite Crayola, although purple is my favorite color. Go figure.
33. How is the weather right now? chilly and overcast.
34. Last person you spoke to on the phone? Dagny
35. Favorite soft drink? diet A&W cream soda. Unfortunately, our local commissary doesn't carry it, so whenever we go back to the Kaiserslautern area, I pick up a half dozen bottles at the commissary there.
36. Favorite restaurant? Have to find a new one here--so far, nothing we've tried here beats the Orchidee--our favorite Thai/Vietnamese restaurant in Landstuhl

38. What was your favorite toy as a child? hula hoop
39. Winter or Summer? summer
40. What is your favorite sport to play? weight lifting is a sport, right? It's in the olympics--it's must be a sport. I do enjoy working out with weights.

43. Do you want your friends to email you back? nah--I like being ignored and neglected. *rolling my eyes at the silliness of the question*
44. When was the last time you cried? got tears in my eyes while re-reading The Villa last week.
45. What is under your bed? my erotica stash, and extra feather beds
46. What did you do last night? read Every Which Way But Dead in the bathtub.
47. What are you afraid of? big dark objects

49. How many keys on your key ring? There's one on the Mercedes key ring (the Mercedes symbol comes out so you can use it in a shopping cart). Moby's key is on a Harry Dresden key chain, which used to also have our house key and mailbox key, but now has just Moby's key. The house key is on a fob attached to the inside of my purse.
50. How many years at your current job? 23 (heh.)
51. Favorite day of the week? Monday. I love the feeling of new beginnings.
52. Do you make friends easily? No, I’m shy.
