Friday Flashback

This is from January 2002:

Twilight in Texas by Jodi Thomas. Western historical romance.

Obviously, I'd missed books in this series by Jodi Thomas. From inside the cover, it looks like about 10! Yikes. Fortunately, while it was obvious it was a series, I didn't feel lost while reading this one---just curious about the other characters' stories.

I liked the loved-and-lost theme, kept asking "when's he going to tell her?" and "when will she figure it out?" The mystery was a nice touch---especially with the twist of who the target was. And the secondary romance was heartwarming.

It was also fun to read about Texas---places I've been---& have the details right!

I'm sure some of you have read the whole series---maybe you can fill me in?

Funny how the cover styles change over the years. I always liked that style, personally.

I've tagged you for a birth month meme...

Thanks, Julia! It was fun.
