  1. Here’s an idea from Julie:

I had an idea for a BTT question when I was taking a peek at one of my bookcases yesterday and spotted my old copy of the Aeneid in Latin sitting there. Maybe this question has already been done—but if not… Do you have any foreign language books and if so can you (still) read them?

  1. I have a handful of books in German, but I haven't tried reading one in a long while. When the kids were small, I used to read children's stories to them in German, and that wasn't a problem at all. I suspect if I pulled one of them off the kids' shelves, I could still read it okay. I keep meaning to try, but...

That is really great about being able to read in another language :) I dont think I would be able to read Tagalog properly to my kids now LOL

Mine can be found here :)
I use Japanese daily. I can so so read and I really mean so so. As long as I'm here and using the language, I don't see that changing, but it would be very easy to forget many of the Japanese characters if I didn't use the language at all. Otoh, I still read Spanish and Italian. It can be a bit rough intially as it takes time to find my rhythm, but I think languages you have a strong background come back to you rather fast. Great topic of conversation!
