TT #48
Yeah, this wasn't the most popular of the options from last week's TT, but a couple of people did vote for it, so it doesn't feel like quite such a cop-out. I'd forgotten that this week is Spring Break, and time has been very limited. I feel like this.
- Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian. I'd put this on my list after reading her blog--which I discovered via Thursday Thirteen, which is very cool--but I got even more enthusiastic when a friend who writes reviews for a German romance magazine raved about the ARC she read.
- Beyond Seduction by Kathleen O'Reilly. I seldom buy category romances unless they're from a favorite author, and Kathleen O'Reilly is one. She was one of the first authors I "met" through the Berkley/Jove boards, and one of the very few who had a book signing at "my" Barnes & Nobel in San Antonio. She was just as fun and witty in person as she is in her writing.
- Wild Thing by Maggie Shayne, Marjorie M. Liu, Meljean Brook, and Alyssa Day. How could I go wrong with this anthology? I've loved books by all these authors.
- Wild, Wicked, and Wanton by Jaci Burton. Another author I discovered via her blog, which I discovered via Thursday Thirteen. This meme is a goldmine for finding good books.
- Patience by Lisa Valdez. Patience is what I've had to have for this one. I was blown away by Lisa's first book, Passion (#12), back in August 2005, and the release date keeps getting pushed back. And I'm a little worried, because I'm not seeing it available on Barnes & Nobel, just on Amazon. Waiting for quality doesn't bother me--I've been around enough authors to know that there are many roads to Oz--as long as I do get to read it eventually.
- Night Lost by Lynn Viehl. In spite of the fact that she's a huge presence on the blogosphere, I discovered this author via the NAL Forums. I have all the Darkyn books, but the most recent one is still stuck in TBR Mountain. That's not stopping me from buying the new one as soon as it comes out.
- Not Quite a Lady by Loretta Chase. Another NAL find, and one of the few historical romance authors I read--historical romance not being my usual cuppa.
- Murder Unleashed by Elaine Viets. NAL again. I love this series, but decided that, given the size of the TBR Mountain, and the amount I spend on books every month, I'd better stick to paperback. I feel vaguely guilty about that.
- Rises the Night by Colleen Gleason. Another Thursday Thirteen --> blog --> book progression. I've got The Rest Falls Away... in the TBR pile. *wincing* I'm confident enough in two things to buy the second book, though: 1) I love her writing on her blog, and 2) the same friend who raved about Kiss of Midnight also raved about this series.
- Master of Dragons by Angela Knight. I first discovered this author in the Secrets anthologies, then did happy dances when she got picked up by Berkley. This is one of my favorite paranormal romance series.
- Undead and Uneasy by MaryJanice Davidson. Every time a new Betsy book comes out, I tell myself I'm going to wait for the paperback. It hasn't happened yet. These are like a paranormal version of Stephanie Plum, for me. Quick, fast reads that are just too much fun to resist. Plus, they're those ultra-cute small hardcovers. I found Davidson via the same route as Angela Knight.
- Demon Moon by Meljean Brook. I got the first book, Demon Angel, because of a lot of buzz. I'm getting this one because I loved Demon Angel so much.
- Goddess of Love by P. C. Cast. Another author I found via the Berkley/Jove Forums, and another series I absolutely love.
So, what books are on your radar for the next few months? What should I add to my list?

On my list ? Nothing for the moment I am too busy with blog reading ! I read so many books in my life at least 1 per week (I eat books, lol) so now for me blogs are something new. Last year at this moment I didn't even know what a blog was ! But the best on your whole book list is the hamster ! I am rather cat for the moment, but Mr. Gattino is very much like the Hamster !
I haven't read any of those so I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of them.
Great list - now to read them!

I have JAci's WW and W on my computer right now! I'm going to be doing a blog review of it next week. You're going to love it!
I just bought the latest Dresden Files book. And the next one will probably be HARRY POTTER! Woo hoo! Can't wait. :)
This is a great list with a lot of very hot authors. I look forward to coming back after you've read some of them to see what you think.
And I've got to say there's nothing like Stephanie Plum for page-turning action and laughs.
Happy TT Day. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I'm right there with you on 3,4, 5 (although, I read on Dear Author that this one has been delayed again and will probably not be out in 2007), 6, and 9 - 13. :)
Life interfered with TT again this week, but I wanted to say hello. So, hello! :)
Also, if you're interested, I posted a review of Lani's The Fortune Quilt on my blog.

Hey, babe! Isn't it wild how blogging is introducing us to such great writers? (or, at least, their books had better be as good as their blogs!)
I have no idea what's on my To Buy list. Maybe the new Lisa Scottoline, if I can get out to see her tomorrow night.
I'm just trying to shrink To Be Read! (so far, I'm down a whole THREE books for the year!)

I don't have a to-buy list because I'm slowly working my way through my to-be-read list. Next up: The Gladiator's Honor by Michelle Styles.
Thanks for stopping by my TT.

Gattina: oh, good! You saw the hamster. :) I wasn't sure about pointing people to the link, but figured that instead it would be a fun little bonus for those who did click it.
Oooh, that's good to know, Christine!
So, Carmen, have you read White Night yet? What do you think about Thomas's new job??? hehehe
Caryle--NOOOOO!! I was afraid of that. *sigh* The pitfalls of having a fabulous first book.
Denise, Gladiator's Honor is in my TBR pile somewhere. How is it?

My list changes daily. I've got a pile of Kathy Reich's and Christopher Moore I want to read before summer, a few Shiloh Walker and Michelle M Pillow ebooks on my laptop, the Harry Potter series to reread before the last book is released, and a tonne of ID and Adult Learning texts and papers too.
And now I'm going to have to check out some of the authors on your list because your descriptions are so intriguing.

The books on your list sound interesting! I won't be buying any books for a while because my pile of books I've got here to read is pretty darned big. Well, that's what I tell myself, ha. When it comes right down to it, what bookworm can resist buying new books? :-D
Happy TT, and thanks for visiting mine! :)

I agree with you whole heartly about "Passion" by Lisa Valdez. It leave me blown away. Even for historical novel. Try as I could to get one of my friend *staring at her right now, if she reading this* to read "Passion" but so far she hasn't pick it up. Maybe you could encourge her LOL! I heard good thing about Loretta Chase, Elaine Viets and Jaci Burton and might be tempted buy them soon :)
Books that are next on my radar for the next months? Hmmm, there is Ice Blue by Anne Stuart, Deadly Game by Christine Feehan, Chasing Stanley by Deirdre Martin, Dark Protector by Alexis Morgan and Ain't She Sweet by SEP. Of course there whole lot more....
Pssss....Darla, I think you should try Vince Flynn's series books. I'm reading the first book "Term Limits" and it good. You know I'm not much of thriller or mystery reader but...this is good!

Some of those look excellent! My list just grows and grows. I can't think of anything upcoming that hasn't been mentioned, except, of course, HARRY POTTER.
Thanks for visiting me.

Thanks! I'll tell my family to keep an eye out for the flowers! ;)

Hey Julia, I believe you meant me. LOL! I know you have been "pushing" me to read 'Passion', but it's the mood stuff, hehe. But of course I will pick it up sooner or later since it's in my TBR pile! ;P
Darla, right now I just 'Ice Blue'!!!!

So many books, so little time, right?
I've yet to read Passion by Lisa Valdez...can't seem to find it. But I've heard very good things.
Happy T13!
