Towel Day 13
I'd already written out a nice Thursday Thirteen, then discovered that today is Towel Day. Well. I couldn't let it go by without a remembrance, particularly since I'm in the middle of reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series to my boys over breakfast. So in honor of Towel Day, here are thirteen favorite Douglas Adams quotes in no particular order:
- I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Number 8 cracks me up!! "Fools" can be replaced by "child" too. When they get their minds wrapped around something...nothing will stop them from getting it!! Never knew who Douglas Adams was before today but now I really like him. :) Thanks for sharing!!

Now I'm going to have to read that book (I know, I know, I should have read it already, it's even sitting on our shelf...) because I'd heard a lot of those quotes before but had no idea they were from there. My TT are up btw.
Believe it or not, I have never read The Hitchhiker's Guide. I may have to run to the library and get it! :)

Those are great, Darla! It makes me sad. I'll never be Doug Adams -- I can't do aphorisms nearly as well as he did.

I do like that book..as a matter of fact my 11 year old is going to read the series as a summer reading..

I've never heard of 13 things to be so true in my life. How wonderful it is to see reality in the written word.
To be completely honest, It almost sounds like my mother and myself. We are sometimes too blunt for our own good and way too often "open mouth insert foot" on too many occasions when we should just turn and run then speak.
My favorite is Number 7. Someone needs to send this to the White House.
