Along the Rhine

this is the path--cobblestones. there are still a lot of old mile markers and it's not hard to imagine the horses or mules walking along the path pulling river barges.

this is a campground on the other side of the dike from the river. Click on it to see the bigger picture--it's not remotely what I consider camping.

They did miss each other. Nice thing about them being apart most of the year, though--much less fighting. :)
